Buying a new home in Malaga involves an average outlay of 380,000 euros, after the average price in the Andalusian capital is already around 3,500/m2, according to a report by Foro Consultores. The stock of new construction in the city reaches 57% of multi-family homes started (2,800) in an analysis together with Torremolinos, Rincón de la Victoria and Vélez-Málaga. “We are facing a market in which demand absorbs supply at a normal rate,” says Carlos Smerdou, CEO of the real estate consultancy .

The province of Malaga is in fashion, and is experiencing moments of great economic activity. The pandemic helped many foreigners get to know the city and many opted for teleworking,” highlights Smerdou. “Since 2017, prices have doubled in many districts of the city of Malaga.”

Currently, in Malaga city the average unit price of new construction is 3,460 euros/m2 over built with commons (CCC).
